Senior Pastor Kel and Mary Slater
In the fall of 1995, the Slaters were sent to "Lighthouse Santa Rosa" as temporary pastors. In January of 1996, just three months from their time of arrival, membership had grown from 8 to 50 people. Many were coming to know Jesus Christ and it was clear that God was up to something. The Foursquare leadership that had sent them out suggested temporary should become permanent and God has been blessing their church ever since. Today the church has grown to with a number of small groups meeting weekly.
Kel and Mary have long been involved in ministry, serving in Men's and Women's ministry, as home group leaders, prison ministry throughout most of the 1990's at San Quentin Prison, and for many years at the Redwood Gospel Mission. Pastor Kel had Bible training through the Hope Chapel extension of
Life Pacific College and continues now through Foursquare Bible studies program. They are also actively involved in the ministry of the Pastor's Prayer Fellowship of the
Church of Sonoma County California.
